  4. About Envelope Maker                          
  5.                                                           
  6. Envelope Maker is a full feature envelope printing      
  7. application for the IBM PC, AT, PS/2, and compatible    
  8. computers. Envelope Maker is a shareware product, which 
  9. means that you can try it before you buy it, and can    
  10. freely copy and share the program with your friends.    
  11.                                                         
  12. There are three steps to using Envelope Maker:          
  13.   1. Installing the Envelope Maker files.               
  14.   2. Running the Program                                
  15.   3. Reading the User's Guide                           
  16.                                                         
  17. In the directions that follow, <Enter> means press the  
  18. Enter or Return key.                                    
  19.

  21. Installing Envelope Maker                               
  22.                                                         
  23. Envelope Maker may be installed on any drive/directory  
  24. on your hard disk or ran from a floppy disk drive. The  
  25. only requirement is that ENV.EXE, ENV.DAT, ENV.PRO and  
  26. TITLE.DAT files be on the same drive and directory.     
  27.                                                         
  28. Installing on a floppy only system: With your DOS system
  29. disk in drive A and a blank diskette in drive B type:   
  30.   Format B: /s  <Enter>                                 
  31.                                                         
  32. After formatting put this disk in drive A. Put the      
  33. Envelope Maker distribution disk in drive B and type:   
  34.   Copy B:*.* A: <Enter>                                 
  35.                                                         
  36. You're now ready to run Envelope Maker.

  38. Installing on a hard disk system: At the C> prompt and  
  39. with Envelope Maker distribution disk in drive A type:  
  40.   Copy A:*.* C:\directory of your choice <Enter>        
  41.   CD \same directory as above <Enter>                   
  42.                                                         
  43. You're now ready to run Envelope Maker.

  46. Running Envelope Maker

  48. Floppy disk system: With your working diskette in drive
  49.  A and at the A> prompt, type:
  50.                                    ENV <Enter>
  51. Hard Disk system:    Change to the directory you copied 
  52.  the Envelope Maker files to and type:   
  53.                                    ENV <Enter>
  54.  
  55. Select the Setup option from the  Main  Menu.  Envelope
  56. Maker automatically detects the adapter type and allows
  57. three colors with any color adapter. Monochrome adapter
  58. computers don't have this option.  If your computer  is
  59. color, select the Change Colors menu option. Follow the
  60. screen  prompts to set the three colors of your choose.
  61. Continue setup selecting your printer type and envelope
  62. size choices.  Changes take effect when you exit Setup.

  65. Reading the User's Guide
  66.  
  67. The user's guide is contained in the file ENV.DOC. This
  68. file is an ASCII file which may printed or viewed  with
  69. your favorite text editor/word processor.

  71. You are encouraged to copy the Envelope Maker  disk and
  72. share it with others.  After trying out Envelope Maker,
  73. and  decide to continue to use it,  you are  trusted to
  74. register  for  $20.00.  Your support is  important  and
  75. greatly appreciated.  With it, this  Shareware  product
  76. will be continuously developed and updated.
