  1. TIDY.TXTThank you for investigating TidyUp and TidyMono.  This program was
  2. authored by an individual who dislikes a "messy" disk cluttered with
  3. all sorts of useless files such as .BAK, .TMP, and other such exten-
  4. sions created by programs that do not clean up after themselves.
  5.  
  6. TidyUp is the full color, animated version.  It must have at least a
  7. EGA or VGA monitor to run.  TidyMono will, to the best of this authors
  8. knowledge, run on anything.  It also runs faster, in-as-much as it
  9. does not have the graphics to generate.
  10.  
  11. Both programs generate a temporary file called FILEHOLD.TDY on "C:"
  12. drive, and then tidy up after themselves by erasing the file after the
  13. program terminates.  This file is necessary for the operation of the
  14. programs.  Should you have to "bail out" in the middle, just erase the
  15. file, or run TidyUp or TidyMono again and the file will be removed.

  17. TidyUp and TidyMono both use "LPT1:" as the printer output.

  19. THIS IS SHAREWARE.  A donation of $20.00 will bring a registered
  20. version without commercials.  If you register and want a different
  21. printer port output or a different drive for FILEHOLD.TDY, such as
  22. "B:" drive, let me know at the time of registration.  For a registered
  23. copy on a 3 1/2" disk, send $22.00.

  25. The registered version is identical to this version, minus the com-
  26. mercials.  A brief operating description is also included, however,
  27. the program should be self-explanatory.

  29. Any and all suggestions and improvements, along with a description of
  30. any problems encountered while running the program will be greatly
  31. appreciated.  To start the program, just type [drive]:TIDYUP or
  32. [drive]:TIDYMONO and follow the screen prompts.
