  1. HOW TO PLAY PITTY PAT
  2.  
  3. There are many variations of the game of Pitty Pat,
  4. this is one variation.
  5.  
  6. The game begins with each player being dealt
  7. 5 cards. The rest of the card deck is placed
  8. in the center of the screen with one additional
  9. card dealt face up in a seperate heap deck.
  10.  
  11. The goal of Pitty Pat is to be the first to discard
  12. all of the cards in your hand. You accomplish this
  13. by matching the cards in your hand with the top
  14. card of the heap.
  15.  
  16. When its your turn, if you have a card in your
  17. hand that matches the top card of the heap, you
  18. can discard that card and a second card. The
  19. second card will then become the new top card of
  20. the heap deck.
  21.  
  22. If, however, you do not have a card in your hand
  23. that matches the heap card, you will need to
  24. click on the 'deck' to choose a card from it.
  25. The deck card now becomes the top heap card.
  26. If you have a card that matches this card, you can
  27. discard that card plus a second card. If you do not
  28. have a matching card, click on the 'Pass' button and
  29. the next player will take their turn.

  31. Players with two matching cards in their hand, for
  32. example - two Aces, or two Kings, automatically win
  33. after they discard all non-matching cards in their
  34. hand.

  36. Pitty Pat is a betting game in which each player
  37. starts with a certain dollar amount of betting
  38. money. At the left corner of the screen, the
  39. amount of the bet for each game is displayed. This
  40. value can be increased or decreased as the game
  41. progresses.

  43. The game is over when one or more player runs out
  44. of money, making the winner the player with the
  45. most money.
