To use the program to for weekly spellings for one or more children, follow the steps in this help index in order.

Name(s)
Select 'Names' from the menu bar and enter the names of your children. In school, groups of children should be entered as 'Group1', 'GroupB' etc.

Spellings
Select one of the names ('Select a Name') and then select 'Spellings' and 'Input Spellings' from the menu bar. You will be promted for the number of spellings, to enter the words and also to record the words.

Teaching
Having entered the spellings you are ready to begin. The 'Teaching' mode shows the word for an unlimited time; it is then hidden and the word must be typed in.

Practise
This option displays the word for about 3 seconds before asking for the spelling to be entered. Use this when your child has some familiarity with the spellings.

Test
This is a real test - the word is spoken out aloud and has to be typed in.

Previous Spellings
Every time you enter a new set of spellings, the old ones are stored (up to 120 words) and can be tested by selecting 'Previous spellings' from the 'Options' menu.
