  17. Q: Why did I have to wait SO LONG for the final cd?
  18. A: Hm, good question: There were MANY problems during the development and the
  19.    cd changed a lot from the beginning - but finally it's better than
  20.    promised, isn't it?

  22. Q: He, there are only 500 MB on this cd - this means that it's only 3/4 full?
  23. A: Right, I tried to avoid filling the disc with lame or TOO old stuff, so I
  24.    tried to increase the quality of the whole cd by taking only interesting
  25.    'n good quality stuff...

  27. Q: I miss a lot of these elite-demos e.g. from ASM'95 and TP5? What a lamer
  28.    are you, if you doesn't include those great pieces of art on this disc?
  29. A: Well, I HAVE a lot of them but may not use them on cd-rom, coz there are
  30.    often strict licence rights, I have to pay attention to, ya know?

  32. Q: You promised everything to be UNpacked on the cd, but there are some
  33.    sub-dirs with a packed archive in it!
  34. A: The ISO-9660 norm forced me, not to use ANY files with special characters
  35.    inside the file name - so I had to edit the file names or the put them
  36.    in an archive. Sorry - it's sad, but not my fault!

  38. A: There are some other scene cds around, like FreedomCD, AceCD and some
  39.    others... what makes the hss-cd so special?
  40. Q: Well, that are 2 thinX: 1. The mentioned CDs are very limited and reserved
  41.    for pure scene elites, aren't they? The hss-cd is for everyone who is
  42.    interested in ANY part of the music-, art- or demoscene. 2. The hss-cd
  43.    is an overview over EVERY legal scene: ansi + demo + bbs + music + txt!
  44.    The other difference are the german prods. on the cd - coz this is the
  45.    1st GERMAN scene cd, it concerns 1st a huge amount a GERMAN diskmags,
  46.    scene programs and texts. Anyway - it's really worth its money!

  48. Q: You promised a limited edition of the hss-cd including a special bonus
  49.    part. Well, where it is?
  50. A: Well, the cd ideas changed a lot during the development. As the _special_
  51.    part it was planned to get the releases from Assembly'94. Well I GOT the
  52.    permission for it, so it's kinda special part though the ASM'94 releases
  53.    are mixed with the others and there is no special directory for it.
  54.    BTW: The whole edition of the hss-cd is limited, so every avaiable sample
  55.    of the cd is LiMiTED! No more than 999 samples will be produced!

  57. Q: There is a lot of german stuff on this cd, too! Why?
  58. A: Well, this is the 1st GERMAN scene cd, so there should be some german
  59.    stuff on it, I think. But the whole cd (even the menu shell) is hold
  60.    in german AND in english, so it shouldn't be a problem to use this cd,
  61.    even if you are english speaking. But please don't care about the number
  62.    of spelling errors inside the english txt files ( like this FAQ file )!

  64. Q: Why is the cover and the inlay written in german?
  65. A: This is similar to the last question: The cd is mainly sold in the german
  66.    speaking are, so the text on it is in german. But the stuff on the hss-cd
  67.    itself is english AND german, so it's usefull for foreigners, too!

  69. Q: Hm, there is a program fucking up!
  70. A: If that should really happen, try to run it from your harddisk. Many progs
  71.    doesn't like to be started from cd-rom. If that doesn't solve the prob, I
  72.    cannot help you - but don't forget to run it with the right setup datas!!!

  74. Q: The \GAMES on this CD aren't the best and most of them are quite old!
  75. A: Well, those famous sw game hits from epic and apogee are present on
  76.    every second cd around, so there is no reason to spread them on a
  77.    scene cd. The few games on this cd have either something to do with
  78.    the scene or they are kewl (and unknown) enough to be spreaded.

  80. Q: Will there be another scene cd from ZYKLOP in the future?
  81. A: Well, if everything goes fine, the chances are quite good for a new
  82.    scene cd from us - btw: together with TaskMaster (member of Gollum at
  83.    the moment) I had another kewl idea for a new scene cd, it's gonna
  84.    to become great - but at the moment it's nothing but an idea. Well,
  85.    I think we can manage it, to release it during 1996. Anyway, if yes,
  86.    the infos will be spreaded soon enough through the scene.
