  1. !!!Warning!!!  You must have the Microsoft Plus! pack installed 
  2. to utilize this package.  This is also designed as a high color 
  3. mode theme, so you might get unpredictable results if you are
  4. running your display in 256 color mode.

  6. And before I go further, a big round of thanks to Darkwulf
  7. for making sound samples, selection of font, and getting
  8. this whole thing started in the first place.

  10. Instructions:
  11.  
  12. 1. Using Winzip (recommended, though any other unzipper that
  13.    can handle long filenames should be OK), extract the
  14.    files to an empty directory.  I created a new directory 
  15.    called C:\program files\plus!\themes\Balto theme.

  17. 2. Go to Start -> Control Panel.
  18.  
  19. 3. Click on Fonts.
  20.  
  21. 4. Use the folder browser and go to the directory where you
  22.    unzipped the files.  The Font "Matura MT Script Capitals"
  23.    should appear in the list of fonts window.
  24.  
  25. 5. Highlight the font and click OK.
  26.  
  27. 6. Close the Fonts window and then click on the Desktop Themes
  28.    section on the Control Panel.
  29.  
  30. 7. Click on "Other..." in the Theme: pulldown menu.
  31.  
  32. 8. Go to the directory where you put the files, and click
  33.    on Balto.theme.  Click on OK, watch the files load,
  34.    and off you go!

  37. Things that will eventually be added or changed:  The maximize
  38. sound.  I couldn't get anything that sounded right, but 
  39. eventually there will be something different for it.  There
  40. is also no screen saver, startup screen, or shut down screens.
  41. If anyone wants to volunteer for programming a nifty 'northern
  42. lights' plasma effect for the screen saver, let me know...
