Hello, and Welcome to Sperm SPX version 1.0!
Just pop the .SPX file into your saver directory (you ARE using Screen
Peace instead of some lame commercial screen blanker, aren't you???) and
away you go!
This is a port of a freely available BackSpace view available on the NeXT
computer. The NeXT version is in turn a port of xsperm. Have fun with this
little hack. The major job was turning all that floating point math into
integer math for those people still cursed with software FP. 16 bit integers
were fast, but in the end I had to use longs to get enough resolution.
Have fun!
Look for:
Movie - a windows bitmap animation package. NEAT!!!
Hyperoid - neat version of *steroids for Windows.
ls - *nix ls command with MUCHO bells&whistles (couldn't live w/out it!)
blitfix - util that sets the CS_BYTEALIGNCLIENT bit on all top windows
(speeds up my 1024x768 display by a factor of 3)
eyecon - xeyes clone (may have to be renamed)
ilbm - Amiga IFF bitmap viewer (supports HAM mode and palettes!)
life - 7 blit life with a few bells&whistles
loadmon - nifty system performance monitor
mbrot - mandelbrot hack that runs in the background
yow - Zippy the Pinhead in his very own icon, telling it like it is
(more games... stuff... junk...)
Coming real soon now to a (net,BBS,Wherever this stuff ends up) near YOU!
P.S. Look out for the commercial version of Hyperoid (version 1.3, on the
"Fun Pack for Windows", vol #1 disk).... lots of improvements were made to
it over freeware version 1.1. It should be on the shelves in a Babbage's
near you!
P.P.S. Look for the soon-to-be-released-if-I-figure-out-OLE2.0 version of
Movie 4.0... great (and simple) animation embedded directly into all your
favorite documents.... impress your boss!! Wow your wife.... scare the
kids... you name it... hype hype hype. You'll like it, I promise.
P.P.P.S. I have a version of the MBrot program (which was never released
due to being completely lame) that runs on the Ariel DSP56k board... and
I also have a Windows compatible interface library for that board too.
Contact me if you have that DSP board and would like a copy to play with.
