- This is my first post to the newsgroup, so please excuse any stupid mistakes.
- I saw Life in the Fast Lane by the Eagles in the Nevada site, but it
- was a incomplete. I took the opening riff from the Nevada site, I have
- no idea if the riff is correct. The chords and lyrics follow the riff
- material. Enjoy!
-
- Since, this is my first post please post or email any suggestions on how
- to improve this post.
-
- Thanks

- ===============================================================================
-
- Here is what I think the intro to Life in the Fast Lane (by the
- Eagles) is:
-
- E---------------------------------------------
- B---------------------------------------------
- G-----2---0--------------------2---0----------
- D-0^2---2---2p0------------0^2---2---2p0------
- A---------------0------------------------0----
- E-----------------3-0----------------------3--
-
- E----------------------------------------
- B----------------------------------------
- G-----2---0---------------2---0----------
- D-0^2---2---2p0-------0^2---2---2p0------
- A---------------0-------------------0----
- E-----------------3-0-----------------3--
-
- The difference between the two above riffs is that the first has a break in
- it (the big space) and the second is continuous.

- E
- He was a hard headed man. He was brutally handsome, and she was
-
- terminally pretty. She held him up, and he held her for ransom in the
- A7
- heart of the cold, cold city. He had a nasty reputation as a cruel dude.
- E B7
- They said he was ruthless; they said he was crude. They had one thing
- A7
- in common; they were good in bed. She'd say, "Faster, faster. The lights
-
- are turnin' red."
-
-
- E Tacet E Tacet E Tacet
- Life in the fast lane surely make you lose your mind. Life in the
- E Tacet
- fast lane, mmmm.
-
-
- Are you with me so far?
-
- E
- Eager for action and hot for the game, the coming attraction, the drop
-
- of a name. They knew all the right people; they took all the right
-
- pills. They threw outrageous parties; they paid heavily bills.
- A7 E
- There were lines on the mirror, lines on her face. She pretended not
- B7
- to notice; she was caught up in the race. Out every evening until it
- A7
- was light, he was too tired to make it; she was too tired to fight
-
- about it.
-
-
- E Tacet E Tacet E Tacet
- Life in the fast lane; everything all the time. Life in the fast lane,
- E Tacet
- uh huh.
-
- E
- Blowin' and burnin', blinded by thirst, they didn't see the stop sign;
-
- took a turn for the worst. She said, "Listen, baby. You can hear
-
- the engine ring. We've been up and down this highway; haven't seen
- A7
- a god-dam thing." He said, "Call the doctor. I think I'm gonna crash.
- E
- The doctor says he's coming; but you gotta pay him cast." They went
- B7 A7
- rushin' down that freeway; messed around and got lost. They didn't
-
- know they were just dying to get off.
-
- E D/E
- And it was life in the fast lane,
- C/E A/E
- life in the fast lane.
