OTHER QSO2000 PROJECT SOFTWARE PACKAGES
Begun January 1990, the QSO2000 Project is an association of amateur-radio
operators dedicated to providing the highest quality software possible for
assisting amateur-radio operation throughout the world. The software is
marketed through "shareware marketing" with free use of examination copies
being licensed for one month and a requirement for registration for further
use. Registration provides copies of the various software packages which have
advanced features enabled for further convenience and operating power.
The following software packages are currently available from the QSO2000
Project.
THE 440 SPOILER, VERSION 2
The 440 Spoiler is a fully developed remote control program for operating
a TS-440S from a DOS compatible computer. It features control of all 100
memories, RIT, XIT, and Transmit, as well as real-time keypad control of main
tuning, RIT, and XIT, combined program and memory scan, and customized
installation.
Feature-limited examination copies of the 440 Spoiler are available on 3-
1/2 and 5-1/4 inch disks for a $2.50 media and mailing charge; full-featured
versions are available for a $39.00 registration fee.
THE 940 SPOILER, VERSION 2
The 940 Spoiler has all of the features of the 440 Spoiler for TS-940S
control by DOS compatible computers. It also provides control of slope tuning
and variable-bandwidth tuning as well as antenna tuning. It features a
realtime bank of 40 memories as well as a reserve bank of 40 memories which may
individually or as a bank be swapped with memories in the realtime bank
(effectively giving access to 80 memories at a time).
Within the memory limitations of the 940 (40 non-split, real memories),
the 940 Spoiler will also operate a TS-440S.
Feature-limited examination copies of the 940 Spoiler are available on 3-
1/2 and 5-1/4 inch disks for a $2.50 media and mailing charge; full-featured
versions are available for a $39.00 registration fee.
THE 440 MINI-SPOILER
The 440 Mini-Spoiler controls a TS-440S remotely with a Tandy Model 100 or
102. Ninety simplex transceiver memories and VFOs A and B (split and non-
split) may be copied, exchanged, and entered by keyboard. Memory contents may
be saved and loaded into Model 100 or 102 files. It maintains an interrupt-
updated display of all operating parameters except RIT and XIT and a scrolling
five-memory, highlighted-memory display window.
Feature-limited examination copies of the 440 Mini-Spoiler are available
on tape and 3-1/2 and 5-1/4 inch DOS-format disks for a $2.50 media and mailing
charge; full-featured versions (on cassette tape or 3-1/2-inch portable drive
or 5-1/4-inch DVI diskettes) are available for a $19.00 registration fee.
THE 940 MINI-SPOILER
The 940 Mini-Spoiler is functionally identical to the 440 Mini-Spoiler in
permitting control of a TS-940S with a TRS-80 Model 100 or 102 laptop computer.
Memory management works within the 40-memory limit of the TS-940S, but Model
100 or 102 files permit a practically limitless number of memories to be
swapped into and out of the transceiver.
Feature-limited examination copies of the 940 Mini-Spoiler are available
on tape and 3-1/2 and 5-1/4 inch DOS-format disks for a $2.50 media and mailing
charge; full-featured versions (on cassette tape or 3-1/2-inch portable drive
or 5-1/4-inch DVI diskettes) are available for a $19.00 registration fee.
NET CONTROL CENTER, VERSION 1.01
Net Control Center is a customizable data-base program for DOS compatible
computers. From a net roster limited by only the size of your disk storage,
the program retrieves call sign, name, and QTH information for posting in a net
queue. It permits searches by QTH and partial call signs. Upon completion of
a net, a complete net log listing times, stations, and traffic can be printed,
saved to disk, or both.
Feature-limited examination copies of Net Control Center are available on
3-1/2 and 5-1/4 inch disks for a $2.50 media and mailing charge; full-featured
versions are available on 3-1/2 and 5-1/4 inch diskettes for a $29.00
registration fee.
