SSB Cheap Version:
CLARIFIER::
1. Remove R-702 to disable the Transmit Voltage.
2. Follow the lead going from the Clarifier going to the RB line
and lift it at this point. Reconnect it to the BB line with constant reg.
voltage ata this point.
3. This version uses a raised PLL canister and has only one
varactor diode. A maxitune will help here or get one from your local tv
shop out of the VHF tuner they work Great!
FREQUENCY:
1. Remove the solder legs holding the PLL canister to the chassis
and remove it. Makes the work easier!
2. Uses the SM5104 and the conversion is the same as for other
Sears Chassis.

Just a Brief mention of this one as it is Identical to the Sears
Base/Mobile. D304 and D306 are the Varactors. R303 must be Removed and the
Clarifier line switched to the BB line. The other side of the Clarifier can
be Grounded for Increased range.
RT701 adjusts the SSB ALC
RT602 adjusts the AM Power
T302 is the VCO Coil.
Make sure you Use a Square hole Alignment tool as these Break easily and are
Hard to get!
