  4.                             SSB Cheap Version:
  5. CLARIFIER::
  6.           1. Remove R-702 to disable the Transmit Voltage.
  7.           2. Follow the lead going from the Clarifier going to the RB line
  8. and lift it at this point. Reconnect it to the BB line with constant reg.
  9. voltage ata this point.
  10.           3. This version uses a raised PLL canister and has only one
  11. varactor diode. A maxitune will help here or get one from your local tv
  12. shop out of the VHF tuner they work Great!

  14. FREQUENCY:
  15.           1. Remove the solder legs holding the PLL canister to the chassis
  16. and remove it. Makes the work easier!
  17.           2. Uses the SM5104 and the conversion is the same as for other
  18. Sears Chassis.

  21.            Just a Brief mention of this one as it is Identical to the Sears
  22. Base/Mobile. D304 and D306 are the Varactors. R303 must be Removed and the
  23. Clarifier line switched to the BB line. The other side of the Clarifier can
  24. be Grounded for Increased range.
  25.             RT701 adjusts the SSB ALC
  26.             RT602 adjusts the AM Power
  27.             T302 is the VCO Coil.
  28. Make sure you Use a Square hole Alignment tool as these Break easily and are
  29. Hard to get!
