  6.  are seated in the stands.  They speak conspiratorially.)

  8. Judith:  Any Anti-Imperialist group like ours must *reflect* such a
  9.      divergence of interests within its power-base.
  10. Reg:     Agreed.
  11.      (General nodding.)
  12.      Francis?
  13. Francis: I think Judith's point of view is valid here, Reg, provided the
  14.      Movement never forgets that it is the inalienable right of every
  15.      man--
  16. Stan:     Or woman.
  17. Francis: Or woman...to rid himself--
  18. Stan:     Or herself.
  19. Reg:     Or herself.  Agreed.  Thank you, brother.
  20. Stan:     Or sister.
  21. Francis: Thank you, brother.  Or sister.  Where was I?
  22. Reg:     I thought you'd finished.
  23. Francis: Oh, did I?  Right.

  34. Stan:    I want to be a woman.  From now on I want you all to call me Loretta.

  37. Judith: Why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
  38. Stan:    I want to have babies.
  39. Reg:    You want to have babies?!?!?!
  40. Stan:    It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
  41. Reg:    But you can't have babies.
  42. Stan:    Don't you oppress me.
  43. Reg:    I'm not oppressing you, Stan -- you haven't got a womb.  Where's the
  44.     fetus going to gestate?  You going to keep it in a box?
  45. (Stan starts crying.)
  46. Judith:  Here!    I've got an idea.  Suppose you agree that he can't actually
  47.      have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody's fault, not even the
  48.      Romans', but that he can have the *right* to have babies.
  49. Francis: Good idea, Judith.  We shall fight the oppressors for your right to
  50.      have babies, brother.    Sister, sorry.
  51. Reg:     (pissed)  What's the *point*?
  52. Francis:  What?
  53. Reg:      What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies, when he
  54.       can't have babies?
  55. Francis:  It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
  56. Reg:      It's symbolic of his struggle against reality.
