This antenna was automatically optimized for best pattern using the YO Yagi
Optimizer program. The optimization criterion was to maximize the ratio of the
forward power to the total power in the rear half-plane. The result was an
antenna with a forward gain of 6.0 dBd, a F/B of 31 dB, and worst-case
sidelobes of -28 dB. If matched at 14.200 the SWR is less than 1.8 across the
whole band, and the F/B is always greater than 20 dB, except at the very top
end. 24 segments per element were used here for great accuracy, but you may
use only 10 segments and still get very good results. This will greatly
decrease the calculation time. Put the source at pulse # 14 if you try 10
segments.
