  14. tip on the torch.~

  20.      Open  the  acetylene  torch
  21. valve  just  enough  to hear gas
  22. flowing out  of  the  torch tip.
  23. Using a  spark  lighter,  ignite
  24. the gas. (If the  equipment  was
  25. recently  assembled,  you  might
  26. have   to  bleed  air out of the
  27. hose before it will ignite.)~

  37. the valve lightly  -  tightening

  71. very  smoky.  The  floppy  black
  72. dust you see rising into the air
  73. will  settle  all  over  you and
  74. your stuff. This is why a welder
  75. never lights pure  acetylene. We
  76. just did that to demonstrate the
  77. dust  and  to  show a pure acet-
  78. ylene  flame.   Here's  how  you
