A c i r a n V3.6
Release Note:- 22nd November 1993
This is the latest version of ACIRAN, the AC Circuit Analysis System.
1. Command line input added so a circuit name can be given on the command
line, and Aciran will load the file, by-pass the info window, and enter
default analysis data ready to analyse. Used to auto run Aciran from
ahthoring teaching packages such as Authority.
2. Aciran can also accept a script file to guide it on start up. Details of
script is in documentaion. Again used for teaching.
3. Install program now used to install Aciran on users system.

2. HP Deskjet driver added.
3. Improved Autoscaling Algorithm
4. Grid added to graphs.

A c i r a n V3.2
Release Note:- 20th Mar 1992
The changes in this release are as follows:
1. Printer drivers added for LaserJet II and PostScript printers
2. Bug fix, giga gave a value of x1E12 instead of 1xE9
3. Voltage Controlled Voltage Source added for PSpice compatibility
4. Independant Voltage Source added for PSpice compatibility
5. Independant Current Source added for PSpice compatibility
6. Modify menu name changed to Edit. Replace command removed, improved editing
of circuit now possible. Simpler to use.
7. Better messages for novice user.
8. Can use independant AC Voltage source to change Aciran reference voltage
from unity to any other value.
9. Log scale on graphs improved to give decade frequency output in terms of
power of ten.
10. Print routines now check if printer is ready first.
11. Registered user now get PSpice file conversion utility.

A c i r a n V3.1
Release Note:- 28th Nov 1991
The changes in this release are as follows:
1. Improved Directory listing and sorting of circuit files.
2. The Professional version has been dropped as a seperate item, instead
registed users will receive what was originally the Professional
version, and includes the Actran conversion utility.
3. Main change in documentation is my new address and phone number for support.
I can now be contacted on Shareware Support BBS on (0442) 890807.
Compuserve users can Email me on CNBS58@UK.AC.STRATHCLYDE.VAXA
Please note that it is only through your continued support by registering this
program that I am able to spend the necessary time to improve it and give
users the extra features that they request.

A c i r a n V3.0
Release Note:- 4th July 1991
The changes in this release are as follows:
1. New menu system with mouse support.
2. The input of circuit information is now done using input forms which
allow full screen editing. The user is able to go back and alter data and
only when completely satisfied, press F10 to save, or ESC to abort.
3. The use of Lotus 123 style load boxes to select circuit and model files.
4. There is now no restriction on the use of certain directories to hold
circuit, model, and driver files. In fact the VDU driver files have been
removed and are now built into the main program.
5. Full path names may be entered for files.
6. It is no longer necessary to keep track of component numbers to aid edit
functions. The only restriction is that the user give each component a
circuit reference, starting with a letter, up to five characters long.
During editing, a Pick list is presented, and the user selects a component
to edit or delete by using the cursor keys or mouse.
7. Component type selection now uses a Pick menu, users select the component
by either pressing the first letter, using the cursor keys to highlight
the component type, or using the mouse and clicking the left button.
8. New circuit files, the config information is now stored along with the
circuit details, thus saving the user having to set things up each time
a circuit is re-loaded. This does mean that the circuit files are not
compatible with earlier versions of Aciran. To overcome this problem
registered users (Who automatically receive free upgrades) will be given
a utility program to convert their existing circuit files to the new type.
9. Transistor dc current is now taken into account, this also means that
previous circuit files would be incompatible. The default is 1mA, and the
upgrade utility will put this value into converted files. Obviously this
can be altered by the user to the correct value and restored.
10. There are no restrictions placed on this version of Aciran, if you find
this program useful and continue to use it you are expected to register
with the Author.
