TECH NOTES:
Overall performance
Please make sure that you are using the latest drivers for your sound, video and CD-ROM drive.
If you are having trouble with performance please contact your equipment manufacturer.
Also please turn off any networking software or unnecessary drivers if you are have performance problems.
DigiZINE will perform better with more memory and requires 5 megs of free Ram (above DOS and Windows)
to run properly.
QuickTime Performance
If you are using any external caching software such as SMARTDRV,
which is built into DOS, please turn it off. You can turn off your CD cache
in Smart Drive without having to turn off your disk cache. This is done
by adding the /U option to smart drive in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
Example: C:\WINDOWS\SMARTDRV.EXE /X 2048 128 /U
Also note that smart drive is set to a minimum, as after the first screen DigiZINE runs of CD.
If you are still having problems refer to the QTREADME.TXT in the QTW2.03 folder.
Video performance
If you are using the latest video drivers for your machine and are still having trouble, check your monitor
depth and resolution. DigiZINE is designed to run at 256 colors at 640x480 pixels.
