Transcription: Werner Magnus Maximilian von Braun was a German-born engineer responsible for the development of the liquid fuel rocket in Germany and America. In Germany during World War II he led the development and production of rockets for the army, in particular the V-2 rocket, a weapon of mass destruction. At the end of the war, von Braun and his team surrendered to the American army. The team eventually joined NASA and was responsible for the launch of the first US satellite and for the Saturn V rocket which was used to launch the Apollo missions to the Moon.
