OCR: EMU T THE EMU is the second BLUE FACE FEATHERS PARTED largest bird in the world. AND NECK ALONG BACK It lives in large flocks, and wanders hundreds of miles in search of food. Although the emu looks similar to the ostrich, it has three toes on each foot, instead of two, and its straggly feathers cover most of its body, except its face, upper neck, and parts of its legs. Emus are found only in Australia. EMU For most of the year, the male (pictured here) and female look similar. During the breeding season, the female's head is covered with short black feathers.
