een a science and a medieval art. It's your coin album
so use the method your best at.
Enter the coin's issuing country. I recommend if you use
abbreviations, use them all the time. Do not mix abbrevia-
tions and regular country names. For countries that do not
exist today, enter the country name as it existed then.
Food for thought: Consistency is the key to simpilicity.
Enter the date of the contact in the form MM/DD/YY; for
example, say you made a contact on November 7, 1989, enter
11/07/89.
Enter the date the coin was acquired. Use the format
MM/DD/YY; for example, to enter January 15, 1989, enter
1/15/89 or 01/15/89.
Enter the date the stamp was added to your collection in the
form MM/DD/YY; for example, say you bought a stamp on
September 12,1989, this would be entered as 9/12/89.
Enter the emission type of your transmission as defined below:
steady unmodulated pure carrier.
telegraphy on pure continuous waves.
amplitude tone modulated telegraphy.
am telephony including single and double sideband with full,
reduced or suppressed carrier.

Enter the time the QSO ended in 24 hour time; for example,
1:00PM would be entered as 13:00. You may use local time or
Greenwich Mean Time but be consistent.
Enter the frequency that the contact was made on. For
example, a contact made on 21.050 MHz should be entered as
21.050.
Welcome to the ZULU LOGBOOK! This program organizes your radio contacts
in an easy to use electronic database. You may enter thousands of contacts
and yet locate any contact's data instantly. Customized versions can be
programmed for a fee. Press <F1> anywhere in the program for help. Please
read HAMLOG.DOC as it gives information on how to use the program. This
program was written for the beginner to advanced radio operator who yearns
to better organize his/her logbook of contacts. You don't have to know any
programming or be a computer whiz with a PhD. That is not who the program
was written for. It is for the computer user in office or home that uses
the computer as a tool. Overall, I have tried to make a very complicated
program into a simple, easy to use interface. If you have any questions
feel free to write to me at:

the location of the party. You may be confused about the
purpose of the next entry STATE OR COUNTRY. See the help
for the next entry.
You may enter a complete address in this QTH field or just
city, state, and country. But be sure you also fill in
the STATE OR COUNTRY field too with either a STATE or
COUNTRY BUT NOT BOTH! The STATE OR COUNTRY field is used in
reports where you want a report of all contacts of one
country or state. So you see, that the STATE OR COUNTRY
field is very important to fill in (as a matter of fact it
is required). See the help for STATE OR COUNTRY.
Enter the STATE or COUNTRY of the party you had your QSO
with, but not both. This field is used in reports where you
you want all contacts of one country or state. If you had

Greenwich Mean Time, but you may use local time if you are

Uncirculated
coin is out of circulation
Obsolete

the menu.
ZULU LOGBOOK TABLE
The ZULU LOGBOOK TABLE is a "table" listing the contact's call sign and
other information for quick viewing. Below is a list of keys you may use:
to add a contact to the ZULO LOGBOOK (add a record)
to delete a contact from the logbook (delete a record)
Enter
to change the information for the contact that the highlite
bar is on (edit a record)
to quit and return to DOS
to print all your contacts on the printer (device=LPT1)
to print all contacts with one callsign (see F7 key below)
to print your contacts of one country use the cursor keys to
place the highlite bar on the country you want to print
Note: this is available only in the registered version
Cursor keys,PgUp,PgDn
used to navigate in the table
Ctrl PgUp,Ctrl PgDn
go to beginning or end of table
The CALL SIGN LOCATOR allows you to type one or more letters of the call
sign and the highlite bar will position itself on the contact closest match.
For example, if you wanted to go to KR7D, type 'K' or "KR",etc.
You must have added the contact previously to use this feature. If the
call sign is not in the table then the locator will go to the closest call
sign. This feature is especially helpful when you have thousands of contacts
and saves you from using the cursor and PgDn keys.
Enter an optional weight of the coin.
