  1.                           FAMILY HISTORY SYSTEM
  2.                             Diskette #2 of 3

  4. This is the second of a three diskette set for the January 1993 update of the
  5. public version of the Family History System.  The first diskette in the set
  6. has the documentation (a 118 page manual), sample files, installation
  7. instructions and an orientation procedure.  This diskette has part of the
  8. program files and the third diskette in the set has the remainder of the
  9. programs.  To find out more about the software, place the first diskette
  10. of the set into a drive of your PC, make that the default drive, and enter
  11. the command:   GO
  12.  
  13. The programs on these diskettes are being made available for you to use without
  14. placing you under any obligation to make any additional payment for the use
  15. of the programs.  Further, you may give copies of the programs to any
  16. interested persons, provided:
  17.        a. you only give them unaltered copies of the diskettes, just as
  18.           you received them;
  19.        b. you do not charge anything for the copies beyond what may be
  20.           required to cover the costs of materials, postage and handling.

  22. If you would like to receive some extended options that permit you to create
  23. index files, produce a variety of indexed listings, and print summary reports,
  24. among other things...you can become a registered user by sending $35.00 to:

  30. The registered user receives the most recent update to all programs and will
  31. be notified of all major updates.  A $15.00 fee is required for future updates.
  32. You need not order every update that is announced.  All updates are cumulative
  33. so if you skip one, you will get all of its enhancements with any order for a
  34. subsequent update.

  36. Users outside the U.S. should make all payments with international money
  37. orders or with bank checks, in U.S. dollars, drawn against a bank with a
  38. branch address in the U.S.  At this time there is no additional fee for
  39. air mail postage to locations outside the U.S.

  41. Please specify whether you want 5 1/4" or 3 1/2" diskettes.
