EDIT TOP:
Pressing the `E' Key will allow you to Make changes to
the Top Card. Use the TAB key to move forward through
the Card. Hold the SHIFT Key down and press the TAB
key to move in the Reverse Direction. When you finish
making changes Press the Enter Key to accept the Card
with the changes or ESC Key to restore original Card.
ADD NEW:
Pressing `A' while in the Main Screen will add a New
Record to your file. It will put the Blank Card on
the Screen and click into Edit Mode to allow you to
add information to it. Once you have made the changes,
Press the Enter Key to accept the Card. If information
on the New Card is similar to an Old Card, it would be
better to Copy the Old Card and make Changes to it.
COPY TO NEW:
Pressing `C' while in the Main Screen will add a New
Record to your file. It will Copy the Top Card on the
Screen and click into Edit Mode to allow you to change
the information. Once you have made the changes, Press
the Enter Key to accept the Card. Use this routine
instead of ADD NEW when the New Card will be similar
to an Old Card, saving yourself some typing.
FIND:
Tab to the area you want to use for the search then
type in a word. The program will look on that line
in each card until it finds a match. When a match
is found it makes it the Top Card and the search ends.
If no match is found a message announcing that will
appear. The program only searches the line that your
entry is on. If you use a multiple line entry, both
conditions would have to be True for a match.
DELETE:
Pressing `D' will Delete the Top Card. The Card
doesn't go to Never Never Land, it is placed at the
end of the File and the program is told there is one
less Card. So you can Press the `U' key anytime before
you <Exit the Program> OR <Sort the deck> to get back
Cards you Deleted.
UNDELETE:
Pressing `U' while in the Main Screen will Add the
Last Record that was Deleted to the end of the File.
All records that were deleted during this session can
be undeleted. Continue to press U until the program
tells you that there are no more deleted Records!
SORT:
Pressing `S' while in the Main Screen will allow you
to TAB to the heading you wish to use for the Sort
then press Enter. The Reference Deck needs to be in
'Verse Referenced From' order for it to work properly
Because when you flip to reference section from the
Main Screen, it searches that deck until it finds the
first Reference Match and puts it up as the 1st Card.
PRINTING:
Pressing `P' brings up the Print Menu and allows you
to select 1 of 6 Options. Once you select a routine
the Program will ask if you want to send it to the
Printer or a File. If you send it to a File it will
ask you for a File Name. Once you Exit the Program
you can load that File into your word processor if
you wish. CAUTION: The program doesn't check to see
if that FileName already Exists.
PRINTING Continued:
The Program will ask you for the Range to Print
for the Main Body. Once the Main Body has been
printed it will ask you for the Range of Notes to
be Printed.
QUIT:
Automatically Re-Writes the Records if any have
been Deleted. Then asks if you wish to work on a
Different File before Exiting the program.
TIPS ON USING THE PROGRAM:
This is intended to be a very user friendly program,
that is easy to get maximum benefit from without
having to memorize a user manual. Look at the File
I provided to get a good understanding of how to
enter the 'Verse Section' of the Main Card and the
'Verse Referenced From' Entry of the Reference Card.
TIPS ON USING THE PROGRAM:
Computers do exactly what you tell them to, regardless
of what you REALLY intended them to do. Care in the
reference sections will insure that your file will
sort Correctly. 01 is less than 1 and A is less
than a. The Program Sorts from Lowest to Highest.
Both the Main Section and the Reference Section
Should be Sorted, Using the Verse & Verse Referenced
From sections as the Primary Key, before Printing!
