MARK 1:2
As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I
send my messenger before thy face, which shall
prepare thy way before thee.
(Mal.3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and
he shall prepare the way before me: and the
Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his
temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom
ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the
Lord of hosts.)
MARK 1:3
The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his
paths straight.
(Isa.40:3 The voice of him that crieth in
the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the
Lord, make straight in the desert a highway
for our God.)
MARK 7:6,7
He answered and said unto them, Well hath
Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it
is written, This people honoureth me with
their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching
for doctrines the commandments of men.
(Isa.29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch
as this people draw near me with their mouth,
and with their lips do honour me, but have
removed their heart far from me, and their
fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:)
MARK 7:10
For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy
mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother,
let him die the death:
(Ex.20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother:
that thy days may be long upon the land
which the Lord thy God giveth thee.)
(Ex.21:17 And he that curseth his father,
or his mother, shall surely be put to death.)
(Deut.5:16 Honour thy father and thy mother,
as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee;
that thy days may be prolonged, and that
it may go well with thee, in the land
which the Lord thy God giveth thee.)
(Lev.20:9 For every one that curseth his
father or his mother shall be surely put
to death: he hath cursed his father or his
mother; his blood shall be upon him.)
(Prov.20:20 Whoso curseth his father or
his mother, his lamp shall be put out in
obscure darkness.)
MARK 10:3
And he answered and said unto them, What
did Moses command you?
MARK 10:6
But from the beginning of the creation God
made them male and female.
MARK 10:7,8
For this cause shall a man leave his father
and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they
twain shall be one flesh: so then they are
no more twain, but one flesh.
(Gen.2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his
father and his mother, and shall cleave
unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
MARK 10:19
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit
adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not
bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy
father and mother.
(Ex.20:12-16 Honour thy father and thy mother:
that thy days may be long upon the land which
the Lord thy God giveth thee. Thou shalt not
kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou
shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false
witness against thy neighbour.)
(Deut.5:16-20 Honour thy father and thy mother,
as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that
thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go
well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy
God giveth thee. Thou shalt not kill. Neither
shalt thou commit adultery. Neither shalt thou
steal. Neither shalt thou bear false witness
against thy neighbour.)
MARK 11:17
And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not
written, My house shall be called of all
nations the house of prayer? but ye have
made it a den of thieves.
(Isa.56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy
mountain, and make them joyful in my house
of prayer: their burnt offerings and their
sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar;
for mine house shall be called an house of
prayer for all people.)
(Jer.7:11 Is this house, which is called by
my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes?
Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord.)
MARK 12:10
And have ye not read this scripture; The
stone which the builders rejected is become
the head of the corner:
(Ps.118:22 The stone which the builders
refused is become the head stone of the
corner.
MARK 12:26
And as touching the dead, that they rise:
have ye not read in the book of Moses,
how in the bush God spake unto him, saying,
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
(Ex.3:6 Moreover he said, I am the God of
thy father, the God of Abraham, the God
of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses
hid his face; for he was afraid to look
upon God.)
MARK 12:29-30
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the
commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord
our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love
the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and
with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength: this is the
first commandment.
(Deut.6:4-5 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our
God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the
Lord thy God with all thine heart, and
with all thy soul, and with all thy might.)
MARK 12:31
And the second is like, namely this, Thou
shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There
is none other commandment greater than these.
(Lev.19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear
any grudge against the children of thy people,
but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself:
I am the Lord.)
MARK 12:36
For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The
Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right
hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
(Ps.110:1 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou
at my right hand, until I make thine enemies
thy footstool.)
MARK 13:14
But when ye shall see the abomination of
desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet,
standing where it ought not, (let him that
readeth understand,) then let them that be in
Judaea flee to the mountains:
(Dan.9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant
with many for one week: and in the midst of
the week he shall cause the sacrifice and
the oblation to cease, and for the
overspreading of abominations he shall make
it desolate, even until the consummation,
and that determined shall be poured upon
the desolate.)
(Dan.12:11 And from the time that the daily
sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination
that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a
thousand two hundred and ninety days.)
MARK 14:27
And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended
because of me this night: for it is written, I will
smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
(Zec.13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and
against the man that is my fellow, saith the Lord
of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall
be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the
little ones.)
MARK 15:34
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud
voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?
which is, being interpreted, My God, my God,
why hast thou forsaken me?
(Ps.22:1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken
me? why art thou so far from helping me, and
from the words of my roaring?)
