  3. This shareware version is a scaled down or Lite version
  4. of ToolBox Pro intended for evaluation purposes ONLY!
  5. You may use this program for 30 days to give it a 
  6. thorough run through before purchasing the registered
  7. version.  I'm sure you'll find ToolBox Pro an indispensable
  8. addition to your VB Programming environment.

  12. Installation:
  13.  
  14. Run setup.exe from the file manager to install
  15. ToolBox Pro.  This program is compatible with 
  16. VB 2.0 and VB 3.0.  If you have VB 2.0 you will
  17. need a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in your 
  18. Windows\System to run this program.
  19.  
  20. Some people have reported problems with the VB 
  21. installation program on their systems.  The problem 
  22. can usually be tracked down to a screen saver or other
  23. PopUp program causing a conflict.  If you experience
  24. problems with installation, try running the file
  25. vbsetup.exe instead of the bootstrap program.  I've found 
  26. that often this will solve the conflict with the bootstrap
  27. file "setup.exe" without having to turn off those 
  28. screen savers or PopUp programs we so dearly love.

  30. If your using a third party shell such as 
  31. Norton desktop, or PC Tools for windows, 
  32. After the installation is complete you may 
  33. get a DDE error message.  Everything is installed
  34. properly, choose close.  Sometimes these third 
  35. party shells don't process the windows Close DDE
  36. connection properly.

  38. A word about VBx file versions.
  39. In this program or any other VB program 
  40. if you get a "Wrong VBx Version error"
  41. when you start the program, the first step 
  42. you should perform is a search through all
  43. directories in your path for copies of that VBx.

  45. VB programs are designed to work with VBx versions
  46. later than the one used to compile the program, but sometimes 
  47. choke on earlier versions.  If you have an older copy of a 
  48. VBx somewhere on your path it may be found and loaded
  49. first causing the conflict and the error message.

  51. Always use the newest version of any VBx and 
  52. delete any old copies, or move them to a directory 
  53. that is not in your path if you wish to save them.
