SOME TIPS ON GETTING STARTED WITH WORDMASTER 1.8
--------------------------------------------------------------------
-- INSTALLATION --
Put the WordMaster disk in your disk drive A and type INSTALL. You
will be given the option of installing to a hard drive or to floppy
disks.
HARD DISK INSTALLATION
----------------------
If you choose to install to a hard disk you will be asked for the
directory to copy the files to. If that is a new directory it will
be created on your hard disk files and the files will be copied.
BE SURE to include that name or the files will be copied to the root
directory.
For a listing of all the files refer to the list under floppy drive
installation -- but they will all be in your chosen directory. Some
hard disk users may choose to install on floppy disks and then copy
only the desired files onto the hard disk.
To be able to load WordMaster from anywhere on your hard disk be
sure to include the WordMaster directory in your PATH in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT. And remember to set the various defaults as outlined
in the tutorial as well as the written documentation.
FLOPPY DISK INSTALLATION
------------------------
If you have 360K drives you will need to use three disks and will be
prompted when to put in the disks. The first disk will hold the
program files, the second disk the documentation files and the
WMCUSTOM files, the third disk the files for the tutorial. If your
B drive is a 720K (or higher) drive you can put all the files on a
single disk -- just leave the disk in and press a key when prompted.
You should have the following files on your disk(s):
Disk 1: WM .HLP The on-line help file.
WM .MAC The default macro file.
WM .EXE The main WordMaster file --
Start WordMaster with: WM <Enter>
********.PDF Various Printer Definition Files.
