- It depends on the type of crash. NOVA did a program last year on an airliner in
- Central America that went into a steep dive and broke up in mid-air. The bodies
- on the ground were largely intact.

- Bodies would also be intact if the crew ejected before catastrophic failure, if
- two craft were involved, one exploding, the other crash landing as a result of
- the explosion, if the craft ejected the malfunctioning component before
- explosion, and probably in other various scenarios.
