  31. It depends on the type of crash.  NOVA did a program last year on an airliner in
  32. Central America that went into a steep dive and broke up in mid-air.  The bodies
  33. on the ground were largely intact.

  35. Bodies would also be intact if the crew ejected before catastrophic failure, if
  36. two craft were involved, one exploding, the other crash landing as a result of
  37. the explosion, if the craft ejected the malfunctioning component before
  38. explosion, and probably in other various scenarios.
