  49. The name of Steven Spielberg got dragged into this saga BECAUSE of the 
  50. involvement of Volker Spielberg, Ray Santilli's financial backer and the person
  51. who now owns the controlling interest in the films, Steven Speilberg responded
  52. early on that he had no connection with the Santilli film.
