- : You forgot the following categories:
-
- No Brian, I didn't. You're confusing your beliefs with mine.
-
- The only category that I forgot was that of an intentional hoax,
- which form the basis of many UFO reports. Still, I could lump
- that into my category 5 above.
-
- Brian, as I've told you before, I lived through the UFO popularity
- era and researched it while the subject was still relatively fresh.
- I found no compelling evidence for the existance of extraterrestrial
- UFOs. Being educated as a scientist, and an amateur magician, I
- believe that I'm better qualified than many to evaluate the quality
- of evidence supporting extraordinary claims.
-
- You've studied UFOs on the basis of third-hand reports 25-50
- years after these events were reported to have taken place, and
- on the basis of someone's amplified and published account of an event,
- believe it to be true.
-
- We each use different filters to examine evidence and anecdotal
- accounts to arrive at, not suprisingly, sharply differing conclusions.
