- Well, I don't know about 1917, but in the late seventies or early
- eighties, the Pentagon finally released PLAN RED, the grand strategic plan
- for war against Great Britain that had been drawn up in the 1920's. It
- involved the invasion of Canada and the destruction of Britain's fleet.
- Whether or not an actual invasion of Great Britain itself was contemplated
- I cannot say. I'll go to one of the military history groups and see if I
- can find out more.:)
