  20. But surely if aliens are penetrating earth airspace and abducting our fellow
  21. citizens, the governments of the world will not want us to know it. I mean
  22. lets face it they are powerless to this kind of onslaught (if it exists) and
  23. are not able to fight a *propaganda* war against the phenomenon because that
  24. would acknowledge its existence and assumes that public opinion can do
  25. something about abduction (for example, if it exists) which it can't. If alien
  26. visitors are going to come down to earth and be nice to us, then maybe we'll
  27. be allowed to know about it, but at the moment it may be that we are in a
  28. secret weapon stage, i.e. they have  as secret weapon and we don't know what
  29. it is or what it is doing to our people, or how to stop it, so we are going to
  30. keep quiet, because if we don't, we are going to make complete asses of
  31. ourselves and scare the shit out of the public into the bargain. Enough reason
  32. :-)?
