  25. Ah, what we have here is someone who didn't stop long enough to remember one of 
  26. the basic rules when you theorize about something: is a possiblity? The answer 
  27. to that is no. At least not the way Jim is talking about. Energy cannot be 
  28. destroyed in the technical sense but it can be rendered useless, as in his 
  29. statement. 
  30.  1.You're talking about travel: that means that their will be some kind of 
  31. movement, movement requires the expenditure of energy. No matter how 
  32. streamlined or efficient if you don't expend energy you won't move.
  33.  2.There are couple of different ways that you can travel without expending any 
  34. energy...
  35. of your own that is and gravity is about the only practical way.
  36.  3.If you are still figuring out wether or not light speed is possible or not 
  37. in a vehichle I suggest you go to your local university and pick up a couple of 
  38. the advanced physics books or believe it or not one of the books in the "Was 
  39. God an Astronaught" series has the actual mathmatical formula for ftl travel. 
  40. But given near zero resistance of space and extremly large amunts of fuel it is 
  41. theoritically possible to achieve light speed, but not realistic becuase any 
  42. form of manuvering or obstruction would spread you over the cosmos. :)
