  43. If you have a Rendition 1000 or 3DBlaster video card then Swiv will not work 
  44. correctly you will experience a greatly reduced framerate in game and in the 
  45. cutscenes. We are aware of this problem and are working on a special Renditon 1000 
  46. chipset version which will be available in the second quarter of `97

  49. GRAVIS ULTRASOUND

  51. Swiv does not seem to support this soundcard at this time. We had various results when used
  52. with the Max, classic and the Pnp cards.

  55. SOFTWARE USE LIMITATIONS AND LIMITED LICENSE

  57. This special one-level preview version of SWIV 3D (the "Software") is
  58. intended solely for your personal noncommercial home entertainment use.
  59. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble the Software, 
  60. except as permitted by law.  SCi (Sales Curve Interactive) Ltd. retains 
  61. all rights and title in the Software including all intellectual property
  62. rights embodied therein and derivatives thereof.
  63. You are granted a revocable, nonassignable limited license to create
  64. derivative works of this Software solely for your own personal 
  65. noncommercial home entertainment use and may publicly display such 
  66. derivative works to the extent specifically authorized by Interplay in 
  67. writing.  A copy of this authorization, if any, will be provided on 
  68. Interplay's World Wide Web site, located at http://www.interplay.com, or 
  69. by contacting the legal department at Interplay at (714) 553-6655.

  71. The Software, including, without limitation, all code, data structures, 
  72. characters, images, sounds, text, screens, game play, derivative works 
  73. and all other elements of the Software may not be copied (except as 
  74. provided below), resold, rented, leased, distributed (electronically 
  75. or otherwise), used on  pay-per-play, coin-op or other for-charge basis,
  76. or for any commercial purpose. You may make copies of the Software for 
  77. your personal noncommercial home entertainment use and to give to friends 
  78. and acquaintances on a no cost noncommercial basis.  This limited right 
  79. to copy the Software expressly excludes any copying or distribution of 
  80. the Software on a commercial basis, including, without limitation, 
  81. bundling the product with any other product or service and any give 
  82. away of the Software in connection with another product or service. 
  83. Any permissions granted herein are provided on a temporary basis and 
  84. can be withdrawn by Interplay Productions at any time.  All rights not 
  85. expressly granted are reserved.

  89. If the Software contains modem or network play, you may play the Software
  90. via modem transmission with another person or persons directly without 
  91. transmission through a third party service or indirectly through a third 
  92. party service only if such service is an authorized licensee of  Interplay.
  93. For the purposes of this license, a "third party service" refers to any 
  94. third party service which provides a connection between two or more users 
  95. of the Software, manages, organizes, or facilitates game play, translates 
  96. protocols, or otherwise provides a service which commercially exploits the
  97. Software, but does not include a third party service which merely provides
  98. a telephonic connection (and nothing more) for modem or network play.  
  99. Authorized licensee services are listed on the Interplay Productions 
  100. World Wide Web Site located at http://www.interplay.com. This limited 
  101. right to transmit the Software expressly excludes any transmission of 
  102. the Software or any data streams thereof on a commercial basis, including,
  103. without limitation, transmitting the Software by way of a commercial 
  104. service (excepting those specific commercial services licensed by 
  105. Interplay) which translates the protocols or manages or organizes game 
  106. play sessions.  If you would like information about obtaining a pay-for-
  107. play or commercial license to the Software, please call Interplay 
  108. Productions at (714) 553-6655.  Nothing in this paragraph is intended 
  109. to prevent you from downloading the Software from Interplay's Web site 
  110. or from commercial service providers authorized by Interplay to provide
