DEMO INFORMATION
This is a demo version of EYECATCHER, however, all features of EYECATCHER are enabled. This demo will stop monitoring, however, after three minutes, at which point monitoring must manually be restarted. During these three minutes, any alarms can be used.
The full version of the product allows you to monitor as long as you like, of course. The estimated street price of EYECATCHER is $69.95. You can order EYECATCHER via the Syncronys web site at:

A. If Inbox is not running when you run EyeCATCHER, it will use the default profile (configured in Tools > Options > General). To use a different profile, either change the default, or open Inbox manually and choose a different profile to use before starting eyeCATCHER.
To set a different default profile, go to:
Control Panel
Click Mail & Fax
Click Show Profiles
At the bottom of the window you can choose which profile to use when starting Inbox.
B. If you wish to send eyeCATCHER messages to Internet Mail recipients, and you connect to your Internet Mail server via modem, you must turn off Remote Mail, or the message will not automatically be delivered when eyeCATCHER sends the message to the mail system. See 'C' also if this applies to you.
C. If you wish to send eyeCATCHER messages to both Internet Mail and Microsoft Fax recipients, and you connect to your Internet Mail server via modem, both of these services must be in the same profile. This can cause a problem if eyeCATCHER must open Inbox (Exchange, Windows Messaging, or Outlook) for you to send a message or fax, because the Internet Mail service will try to use the modem to check for messages at the same time the Fax service is initializing the modem - they will conflict. The result is an error message that eyeCATCHER cannot deal with, and your message wonÆt be sent, and other problems may occur.
The solution is to manually start your Inbox (Exchange, Windows Messaging, or Outlook) before starting eyeCATCHER. This will give you a chance to clear the error message if it happens to shows up, allowing the eyeCATCHER to continue all further interactions with Inbox automatically without interruption.
D. If you receive the message 'Currently selected video format and video compressor are not compatible' Use the compression driver 'Intel Indeo« Video R3.2' from the Options compression option.
E. Configuring Microsoft Exchange to auto -dial to deliver email and faxes:
Email setup
Open Windows 95 Control Panel.
Open 'Mail' or 'Mail and Fax'
Select Internet mail
Select Properties
Select Connection tab
Select connect using the modem
Choose the Dial-Up Networking connection you want to use
Note that these settings will cause Internet Mail to dial automatically when an email message is sent. Note that this only works for the Internet Mail service - the steps to configure other services to auto-dial may vary.
You must have a valid Internet service provider and internet connection. You should try this manually before installing and configuring eyeCATCHER.
F. Configuring your modem to auto-disconnect after a message has been sent:
Open Windows 95 Control Panel
Select System
Select System Properties
Select modem properties
Select connection tab
In call preferences select disconnect after idle.
G. Configuring Microsoft Fax
Open Windows 95 Control Panel.
Open 'Mail' or 'Mail and Fax'
Check to see if 'Microsoft Fax' is in the list of services, if not,
Click Add
Click Microsoft Fax
It will prompt you to configure it before continuing.
You must have a working faxmodem installed to use Microsoft Fax. You should test this before installing and configuring eyeCATCHER.
H. Configuring modems for silent dialing
Open Windows 95 Control Panel
Click Modems
Select your modem and click Properties
Drag the Speaker Volume slider to Off
If this doesn't work, try this also:
Open Windows 95 Control Panel
Click Modems
Select your modem and click Properties
Click Connection
Click Advanced
Under 'Extra Settings', type M0L0
I. Faxing using WinFax Pro 8.0
eyeCATCHER cannot send Fax Alarms with WinFax Pro 8.0. However, Inbox / Microsoft Fax is included as part of Windows 95, and can be used simultaneously with WinFax to send your eyeCATCHER Fax Alarms. To configure MS Fax, see item 'G', or refer to your Windows / Inbox documentation.
J. Log size limit
When configuring the size limit for the log under the Options screen, please understand that it will stop recording video if it reaches this limit and will display a warning . It is highly suggested to delete all old events, or any events that you have already viewed. This will keep the space available to ensure that newer events are recorded. eyeCATCHER will not automatically delete old events to make space for new ones, this must be done by you.
