  30. INSTALLING CLOCKMAN
  31. ====================
  32. Installing ClockMan is simple:
  33.  
  34. 1) Run SETUP.EXE from within Windows.  Setup will let you
  35.    choose the destination directory and which parts of the
  36.    ClockMan package you wish to install (program files
  37.    only, .HLP file, updated CLOCKMAN.INI file, etc.).
  38.  
  39. 2) Run CLOCKMAN.EXE.  It comes with an alarm file already
  40.    filled with sample alarms for you to try.
  41.  
  42. 3) Choose Help from the System menu to read our comprehen-
  43.    sive online manual.

  46. PACKING LIST  (DISKETTE VERSION)

  48. Your ClockMan distribution diskettes contain the following
  49. files:

  51. SETUP.EXE        The ClockMan setup program.
  52. SETUP.INF        A configuration file for SETUP.EXE.
  53. V1.3e            A placeholder file that identifies the

  162.                     EVALUATION AGREEMENT

  164. Clock Manager ("ClockMan") is not and has never been public
  165. domain software, nor is it free software.  ClockMan is
  166. copyrighted by Graphical Dynamics, Inc.
  167.  
  168. You are granted a limited license to use ClockMan on a
  169. 30-day trial basis for the purpose of determining whether
  170. ClockMan is suitable for your needs.  After this initial
  171. 30-day trial license expires, you must register the program
  172. to continue using it.  The use of unlicensed copies of
  173. ClockMan by any person, business, corporation, government
  174. agency or any other entity beyond the trial period is 
  175. strictly prohibited.
  176.  
  177. A single user license permits a user to use ClockMan only
  178. on a single computer at a time.
  179.  
  180. No one may modify or patch the ClockMan executable files in
  181. any way, including but not limited to decompiling, disas-
  182. sembling, changing the icon or string resources, or
  183. otherwise reverse engineering the program.
  184.  
  185. A limited license is granted to copy and distribute
  186. ClockMan only for the trial use of others, subject to the
  187. above limitations, and also the following:
  188.  
  189. 1) ClockMan must be copied in unmodified form, complete
  190.    with the file containing this license information.
  191.  
  192. 2) The full machine-readable ClockMan documentation must be
  193.    included with each copy.
  194.  
  195. 3) ClockMan may not be distributed in conjunction with any
  196.    other product without a specific license to do so from
  197.    Graphical Dynamics.

  199. 4) No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested
  200.    or accepted, except as authorized below:

  202.    A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems
  203.       (sysops) may make ClockMan available for downloading
  204.       as long as the above conditions are met.  An overall
  205.       or time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin
  206.       board system is permitted as long as there is not a
  207.       specific charge for the download of ClockMan.

  209.    B) Vendors of shareware software may distribute ClockMan
  210.       ONLY AFTER OBTAINING WRITTEN PERMISSION from
  211.       Graphical Dynamics.  Such permission is usually
  212.       granted.  Vendors may charge a reasonable disk
  213.       duplication and handling fee.

  217.                  WARRANTIES AND DISCLAIMERS

  220. LIMITED WARRANTY

  222. Graphical Dynamics guarantees your satisfaction with this
  223. product for a period of 90 days from the date of original
  224. purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with ClockMan within that
  225. time period, return the package in saleable condition to
  226. the place of purchase for a full refund.  Graphical
  227. Dynamics warrants that all disks provided are free from
  228. defects in material and workmanship, assuming normal use,
  229. for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase.
  230.  
  231. Graphical Dynamics warrants that the program will perform
  232. in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  233. with the software product.  If a significant defect in the
  234. product is found, you may return the product for a refund.
  235. In no event will such a refund exceed the purchase price of
  236. the product.

  238. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS DISCLAIMS ALL
  239. WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
  240. LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
  241. FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE
  242. PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, THE PURCHASER
  243. ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY
  244. SERVICING, REPAIR, OR CORRECTION AND ANY INCIDENTAL OR CON-
  245. SEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  IN NO EVENT WILL GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS BE
  246. LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMIT-
  247. ATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTER-
  248. RUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION AND THE LIKE) ARISING
  249. OUT OF THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT EVEN IF
  250. GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
  251. SUCH DAMAGES.  THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC
  252. LEGAL RIGHTS.  YOU MAY HAVE OTHERS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE
  253. TO STATE.

  255. Use of this product for any period of time constitutes your
  256. acceptance of this agreement and subjects you to its
  257. contents.  This agreement is governed by the laws of the
  258. State of Washington.

  260. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS

  262. This product is provided with restricted rights.  Use,
  263. duplication, or disclosure by the government is subject to
  264. restrictions set forth in subdivision (c)(1)(ii) of the
  265. Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
  266. 48 CFR 252.227-7013, or in subdivision (c)(1) and (2) of
  267. the Commercial Computer Software--Restricted Rights clause
