  10.        The inst_dev product includes 'swpkg', a Motif based tool
  11.        used to package software for swmgr(1M), the Silicon Graphics
  12.        installation program.  Swpkg provides an environment for
  13.        creating and updating spec and idb files and running
  14.        gendist(1M).
  15.  
  16.        A spec file defines the products that will be turned into a
  17.        software distribution by gendist. It gives the names of the
  18.        products, their images and subsystems, information about the
  19.        contents of those subsystems, and the installation procedure
  20.        and environment they require. Installation database (idb)
  21.        files contain one line of information for every file,
  22.        directory, link, and fifo in a product.

  26.               contains the Software License Agreement.  This
  27.               software is provided to you solely under the terms
  28.               and conditions of the Software License Agreement.

  79.        (the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s subsystem), you can view the release notes on
  80.        your screen.

  83.               products before installing the software.  Refer to
  84.               the booklet in your CD-ROM case for more information.

  86.        If you have a graphics system, select ``Release Notes'' from
  87.        the Help submenu of the Toolchest. This displays the
  88.        _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser for the online release notes.

  90.        Refer to the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for information on
  91.        options to this command.
