  2. PrintGF Description

  4. PrintGF (Print GIF Files) is a shareware GIF printer for IBM/DOS systems. It
  5. prints GIF files on Epson and IBM 9 pin printers, Epson, Fujitsu, IBM, NEC, and
  6. Toshiba 24 pin printers, HP LaserJet, DeskJet, PaintJet, QuietJet, HI JetPro,
  7. IBM ExecJet, Quietwriter 2 and 3, LaserPrinter, Canon LBP, BJ, and BJC
  8. printers, Kodak Color 4, PDP ProTracer, and Tektronix ColorQuick. It will also
  9. display on a CGA, EGA, VGA, VESA SVGA, or HGC.

  11. PrintGF transforms the bit map size and resolution to match the user specified
  12. size and the native resolution of the output device. It outputs 240 level
  13. dithered gray on black/white devices and 240 level per plane dithered color on
  14. three plane (CMY or RGB) color devices (giving 13 million colors).

  16. The user options include picture area, print area and margins, brightness and
  17. contrast, gamma and gray balance color correction, dithering type, printer
  18. type, output destination, etc.

  20. PrintGF includes an overlay that contains the Accusoft Image Format Library
  21. image interpreter. This lets PrintGF read a number of image formats beyond GIF,
  22. including BMP, JPEG, PCX, TARGA, and TIFF.
