26-Sep-1999 1999 F1 season datafile NOT updated
For those of you expecting an updated datafile... Because of the wet qualifying and race at the Nurburgring, I have decided not to update the datafile - simply because the stats are pretty meaningless because of the wet conditions.

09-Aug-1999 F1GP-Ed 4.0 - coming soon!
I'm pleased to announce that F1GP-Ed 4.0 is now under construction. One of the main changes is that I have decided it is finally time to drop support for OS 1.x completely - there really is no excuse for not upgrading your ROMs now. Although this will not be of a concern to the majority of users, it means that I am now able to optimize F1GP-Ed for use with OS 2.x/3.x. The result being a huge improvment in efficiency, file access speed, memory allocation speed, etc. It also means that lots of redundant code can be removed, hence the F1GP-Ed executable has shrunk. Of course, I also intend to add a whole bunch of new features too - more info on these will be made available as they are added. It is likely that I'll add OS 3.5 specific support too (where appropriate). F1GP-Ed 4.0 will be released later this year, and it will possibly be the first ever non-free upgrade :-( I have yet to decide on this issue, but existing registered users will be entitled to a special upgrade rate should there be a change.
