[About The Guide]
FindReplace <Ctrl QA> or <Esc><S><R>
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Searches and replaces strings within the current file. The User is
prompted for a search string, a replace string, and options.
Available options are:
[I] Ignore the case of the search string.
[W] Whole words only.
[B] Backwards from the current cursor position.
[N] Find and replace without prompting.
[G] Global: start at top of file, not cursor position
[L] Limited: search only within the current marked block
You can use any combination of the above search options.
You can also include a number in the options box, to restrict
the FindReplace operation to that number of replaces.
You can press <Ctrl Break> to abort a long FindReplace.
The "G", "L" and number options, and <Ctrl Break> checking,
were added in QEdit v2.1
At every occurrence of the search string in the file, the User is
given the following replace options.
[Y] Replace the search string with the replace string and
continue on to the next occurrence of the search string.
[N] Do not make any changes but continue on to the next
occurrence of the search string.
[O] Replace the search string with the replace string and
then terminate the FindReplace process.
[R] Replace the search string with the replace string for
this and all the "rest" of the occurrences without
any further prompting.
[Q] Terminate the FindReplace process.
