Lanikai Beach

Lanikai Beach is, again according to Dr. Leatherman, the number one beach in the USA. The sand is so soft and fine here. The water is generally very calm.

Lanikai is a cute little residential part of Kailua which, because of it's own valley like geography, has it's own little micro-climate. Sometimes it will be rainy in Lanikai and not in Kailua town and vice versa.

The islands off of the coast are called the Mokuluas.

This Vr was shot using a Kodak DC 50 digital camera on a Sunday morning about 10:30 a.m.

Lanikai is pronounced Lon-ee-Kie (like pie).
