Pali Lookout
No trip to O`ahu is complete without a stop at the Pali Lookout. It is a state park area high up in the Ko`olau Mountains overlooking the windward side of O`ahu. One gets to it by taking the Pali Highway which runs from downtown Honolulu to the windward side.
We can see Kaneohe and Kailua from here and a world of water!
The clouds building up over the mountain peaks are pushed up here by the trade winds which blow in from Kailua and the windward side of the island.
This Vr was shot using a 35 mm camera and a 24 mm lens in the afternoon around 3 p.m..
Pali is pronounced Polly.
Ko`olau is pronounced Ko-Oh-lau (sounds like "now").
