Drive and Folder Commands

The Drive and Folder commands provide a method of switching drives and maneuvering though folders.

Backward Button  Backward

The Backward command is used to change folders in the current tab of the active file panel by navigating backwards through the history of recently displayed folders.  Each issuance of this command will back up one entry in the folder history list.

The default Toolbar button also includes an arrow control as part of the button.  Pressing the down arrow part of the button to display the history and then select the folder you wish to switch to.

Separate histories are maintained for each file panel.

Calculate Size Button  Calculate Folder Size

The Calculate Folder Size command is used to calculate the size of the focused folder in the current tab of the active file panel.  The command is recursive so the contents of all subfolders is calculated.  The results are displayed in the file panel.

Compare Directories Button  Compare Directories

The Compare Directories command is used to compare two displayed directories (folders).  The directories that are compared are the first two file panels in the row of the currently active file panel.

The comparison criteria dialog is displayed.  You may select the criteria used when comparing directories.  These include entry file/folder name, size, creation date, last access date, last modification date, and the attributes.

Press the [OK] button to begin the comparison.  All files and folders which are not identical to those in the other panel (based on the comparison criteria) or do not exist in the other file panel are selected as a result of the comparison.

Create Folder Button  Create Folder

The Create Folder commands is used to create a new folder in the current tab of the active file panel.  A dialog is displayed allowing the name of new folder to be entered.

Folder Favorites Button  Folder Favorites

The Folder Favorites command is used the change the current folder for the current tab in the active file panel.  Pressing the button control will display a list of user defined favorite folders.  Select the folder to switch to and Just Manager will change the current folder.

For the Main Toolbar the folder list is displayed under the button while it is displayed at the top left hand corner of the active file panel for the Main Menu and Keyboard Shortcut commands.

Forward Button  Forward

The Forward command is used to change folders in the current tab of the active file panel by navigating forward through the history of recently displayed folders.  Each issuance of this command will move forward one entry in the folder history list.

Go To Root Button  Go To The Root

The Go To The Root command is used to change folders in the current tab of the active file panel.  The tab will switch to the root folder of the current folder.

The Go Up command is used to change folders in the current tab of the active file panel.  The tab will switch to the parent folder of the current folder.

Left Drives List Button  Left Drives List

The Left Drives List command is used to display a popup menu of the Drive Access List.  The list is displayed just above the leftmost file panel in the current row of the active file panel..  You can select any drive, network, or FTP connection and the current tab of the active file panel will change to that drive.

The command is supplied as a convenience in the event that you have both the Drive Access Buttons bar and the Drive Access List hidden.

Right Drives List Button  Right Drives List

The Right Drives List command is used to display a popup menu of the Drive Access List.  The list is displayed just above the second to the leftmost file panel in the current row of the active file panel..  You can select any drive, network, or FTP connection and the current tab of the active file panel will change to that drive.

The command is supplied as a convenience in the event that you have both the Drive Access Buttons bar and the Drive Access List hidden.

System Folders Button  System Folders

The System Folders command is used the change the current folder for the current tab in the active file panel.  Pressing the button control will display a list of pre-defined system folders.  Select the folder to switch to and Just Manager will change the current folder.

For the Main Toolbar the folder list is displayed under the button while it is displayed at the top left hand corner of the active file panel for the Main Menu and Keyboard Shortcut commands.
