Adjusting Parameters
Parameters operate completely in real-time. This means that if a sound is currently playing from or through this machine, you will hear the effects of this slider in real-time as you adjust it. This is the simplest way to alter the output of a machine.

There are currently 4 useful ways to edit machine parameters in real-time through the parameter windows. They follow:
1. Mouse

The simplest method of modifying parameters. First, select any parameter (slider) from the dialog (Figure 3.3), and drag the handle either left or right. A dotted line will appear around a parameter which is currently in focus.

2. Mouse-Wheel (precise movement)

The new Mouse-Wheel (found on many Microsoft and Logitech mice) provides a clean way to add more precise parameter adjustments to Buzz machines. The functionality is much like that of the mouse. Click the parameter and roll the mouse wheel up or down to adjust the parameter accordingly.

3. Keyboard

For the ultimate control in parameter editing, click a parameter to put it in the current focus, and simply press any number key on the keyboard. This will pop-up a small text box with the valid range labeled below. You may continue to enter numbers and press Enter to set the new value. The parameter will change immediately upon pressing enter.

4. MIDI Controllers

While this is the most fun way to control Buzz, it deserves its own chapter of this guide. Please refer to Buzz MIDI Support for information regarding controlling Buzz parameters via MIDI.
