Machine Elements
The lines between machines indicate that they are currently linked. This is the way buzz routes audio. In figure 3.1, the O1 (Jeskola O1 Organ) is routed through the Karhu (Stereo Chorus), before outputting to the audio card through the Master Machine.
The arrows in-between each machine allow you to change the signal strength of each machine. Further, right-clicking the signal arrow allows you to choose to watch the shape of the signal of the audio flow from one machine to another. These Signal Arrows also clearly indicates the direction of audio flow.
The small boxes in the upper left of each machine are it's LEDs. These show its current status. The LED's blink to indicate that audio signal is currently flowing through or from the machine, and are dark when the machine is not active. Also, machines can be muted or set to solo (in case of generators) with the machine-LED.
Effects or generators linked to the Master may be panned visually by dragging the horizontal pan bar located on the bottom of their box.
Tip: the distance between machines, and their position on the screen has no effect on their audible output. You are free to organize and place machines as you see fit.
