Some Background Information
Michele O'Connell works for Boeing Information Services, Inc. located at the Washington Office Center, across the street from NASA Headquarters. She is part of a team that has just recently been put together to prototype NASA Aeronautics Enterprise web pages (Code R). Prior to this she worked for the
Center of Excellence in Space Data and Information Sciences (CESDIS)
located at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. There she worked under the auspices of the NASA High Performance Computing and Communications Program at NASA Headquarters.
In her first posting at NASA, Michele worked with both the Critical Technologies Program and the Aeronautics Program at NASA Headquarters.
Michele is involved in research on international R&D efforts and tracks and coordinates information, program accomplishments and public benefits across NASA Research Centers.
A key project Michele is involved in is an activity investigating the next generation of computing known as petaFLOPS
She holds a B.A. in Behavioral and Social Science from the University of
Maryland and a Masters of Science in Business and Information Systems Management from Johns Hopkins University.
