Wizard-Level Server Configuration

Introduction

In order to provide maximum flexibility in using the scripting features of Windows httpd, I left some hooks that should be useful in tailoring the execution environment. I may add additional hooks in the future to facilitate running Windows and DOS applications depending on the script. With what's here, you should be able to concoct setups for either. All I'm going to do is document the hooks. It's up to you to come up with ways to use them.

Server Configuration Directives

The following key words have been added to the set available for the server configuration file httpd.cnf:

ShellExec
Path/file name of the executable that creates the DOS VM
ShellExecOption
ShellExecOptionDebug
The command line option that's needed to tell the ShellExec to run, then exit (or pause for debugging).
ShellCmdTempl
This controls the content of the command line that is given to the WinExec() call.
ShellScriptTempl
This controls the content of the command line that runs the script from the startup jacket proc.
ShellEnvFmt
The printf() format for creating the environment variable definitions in the shell startup jacket proc.
ShellInitCmd
The first command placed into the jacket proc, usually used to supress shell echoing of setup commands.
ShellTempPath
The path for the directory in which the tempfiles will be created.
