A. Yes.

Q. You do not remember, do you, is that right?
5 A. Concerning your last question? No.
6 Q. You said that McDonald's was voluntarily expanding
provision of booklets across the country. Do you say when
7 they had decided to expand the provision?
A. I did not say. I do not know.

9 A. It was certainly in time after we had started to make,
after we had made distribution on the East Coast, New
10 York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Washington, as we
discussed before, and saw that the results of that were
11 favourable and recognised the need and the desire to make
national distribution.

Q. The booklet that you were distributing on the East Coast,
13 that is the one that is in the file, is it?
A. We have had certainly a number of revisions of the
14 booklet, but it looks to me as if it is the one that was
there.

Q. Right.
16 A. Very similar to the one that was there.
17 Q. It might be helpful if we looked at the booklet "Food -
the Facts" again. It is tab 5 in that volume?
18 A. Yes.
19 Q. If we could look at page 96. In fact, it has the date of
print here, July 1st 1986. Do you think this is the
20 version that was distributed in New York?
A. This most likely is one of the versions that was
21 distributed in New York since our distribution started in
about April. There may have been an earlier version;
22 there probably was an earlier version.
23 Q. You think there was an earlier version?
A. I draw that conclusion on the fact that this is dated
24 July 1st.
25 MR. JUSTICE BELL: It says date of print, I do not know whether
that is significant or not, as opposed to publication or
26 date of edition, but may be it is not in America?
A. The date of print should predate in all instances.
27 I am aware of the date of the dispersal to the public. So
it would seem to me that the July 1st date this was
28 printed would mean it was distributed to the public after
July 1st.

Q. That does not possibly mean that it would have been
30 earlier print; that is the date of this print. You would
think that would mean that date is before it was first put
