Day 043 - 01 Nov 94 - Page 41
production of a nice, hopefully timeless family classic.
This particular one was produced by the Children's
Television Workshop, which is the same group that produces
Sesame Street in the United States. So they prepared,
I believe it was a half hour or hour programme -- I am not
sure -- and this was the ronald mcdonald Family Theatre;
and that would take place in the evening, I believe it was
somewhere around 7 or 8 o'clock, and we would be inviting
you and your whole family to "please come and watch this".

Q. Would it have commercial breaks during its showing?
A. It has commercial breaks, but instead of having
commercial breaks, our commercials we used -- I think you
will see them a bit later -- have to do with Ronald
McDonald and reading, and other things that Ronald is
talking about.

Q. Can you remind me, Mr. Green, how much more of this tape
there is, roughly speaking, do you think?
A. I think there is about ten more minutes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think we had better break now. We will
resume at two o'clock.

(The short adjournment)

2 p.m.
MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes?

MR. RAMPTON: Can you please continue with your exposition,
Mr. Green?
A. I think we left off with the ronald mcdonald Children's
Theatre. So we will continue. I think we left off with
that one.

Q. Yes, I think so.
A. I am not sure what this is.

(The next advertisement was shown)

THE WITNESS: This would be a close to the toys that we talked
about earlier when Ronald was searching for the
Golden Arches. This would have been the adult version of
that 15 second close.

This one, again, we would -- this is to adults, and it
would talk about it from $1.99 point of view. It would be
the same ad we saw at the beginning, earlier, so I will
fast forward through those. I think this is similar, but
I am not sure.

(The next advertisement was shown)

THE WITNESS: So that would be a 15 second open that talks
about the search, and then the 15 second close that uses
the items, that would be the toys during that time period.

Q. Can you remember -- it may not be important -- whether the
search team toys arose out of the idea that McDonald lost
his Arches, or----
