    36        A.  Let me start, I guess, by clarifying my role ---

    39        A.  -- if you will?  I have what we describe as a
    40        functional responsibility first, which is to ensure or to
         verify that our suppliers adhere to and comply with our
    42        product specifications, policies and procedures.  The other
    43        part of my role is strategic in nature, and my role is to
    44        develop those policies, product specifications and
    45        procedures.

    48        people, products and processes that will assure us the
    49        safest products and the highest quality products that are
    50        technologically and economically possible.  We can get in
