       A. Yes.

       A. Yes.

  Q. But they do not actually walk down any of the streets
       opposite?
       A. No.

  Q. They do not, all right. Walking the other side of the
Kings Road would only be once a day, in the morning?
       A. No, because on the half hourly trash walks they have to
walk along that section of the Kings Road between Royal

       streets.

  Q. They do the other side of the road every half hour as well?
       A. Yes, they would check across the road and also the BFI,
the Council road sweepers, go along the Kings Road.

  Q. Leave them aside for the moment. Do McDonald's environment/index.html">litter

       hour?
       A. Yes, on that section of the road.

  Q. They do both sides of the street?
       A. They should do, yes.

  Q. They should do?
       A. On the Kings Road, on the pavements on both sides of
       the Kings Road.

  Q. Exactly what system of supervision is in operation for
these trash walks, as you call them?
       A. In the store there is a manager in charge at the time.
He is called the shift manager. He has to complete what we
call a travel path which would include internal areas of
the store and external areas of the store. He has a check
list in which he has to check not only the trash but also
the dining areas, the kitchen areas, the counter area and
the back up areas which include the stock room etc. and
       toilets.
So, he is responsible and accountable for the outside of
the store while he is on duty.

  Q. So he has to check the whole of the inside of the store and
that is every half hour, is it not?
       A. Yes.

  Q. It is also up to him or her to check that the job has been
done properly outside the store as well?
       A. That is correct.
