Day 110 - 29 Mar 95 - Page 16

MR. MORRIS: No, that is it.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I assumed you were not calling Mr. Erickman.
I have read his statement and it is comment. What is
contained in his statement is comment which you can make,
if you choose, yourself, depending on the evidence at the
       end of the trial.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. I believe all those matters have been,
effectively, admitted by the Plaintiffs about the use of
those particular -- I cannot remember now.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I had assumed you were not going to call
Mr. Erickman. I could not see he had any anything to add
to the factual database, as it were.

MR. MORRIS: Mr. Lineman from America, we are intending to call
       in the environmental section.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: He is not just Civil Evidence Act?

MR. MORRIS: If we can raise enough money, then we are hoping to
bring him, otherwise it will just be Civil Evidence Act.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I would like to have got a clear idea of just
       how long they will take.

MR. MORRIS: It is not always easy for us to know because we are
       not that experienced.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What is the situation so far as the
employment enquiries are going? Have you managed to get
       your letters off?

MR. MORRIS: Yes, the bulk of them went off, I think, about
seven days ago. There are just a few that we need to
check, double check, addresses, things like that, because
some people we have not spoken to for over a year. We have
had two replies so far. I do not know what that
indicates. I do not know, to be honest.

The exercise has been valuable in that we have also asked
people to identify whether they need their fares, whether
they want a formal letter and things like that. So, it has
been helpful, but I do not know in terms of what the
responses are, whether any conclusions can be drawn.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Have you had responses yet?

MR. MORRIS: We have had two responses so far.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We may come back to it before then, but what
I would like you to be able to do is marshal the
information you have, so we can get some picture of what
the response has been, by which I mean not just how many
people but whether they have said they intend to come or
not and so on, so we can have another look at that towards
       the end of next week.

I appreciate your full two weeks, 14 days, may not have run
