11 say. Do you give your address as McDonald's Restaurants in
12 East Finchley, London?
13 A. I do.

15 Q. Are you the Remodel Manager for the UK Company?
16 A. I am.

18 Q. Is that a separate department that you work in or does it
19 form part of some other department in McDonald's?
20 A. It is part of the Construction Department.

22 Q. As a Remodel Manager, precisely what is it that your
23 responsibilities are in McDonald's?
24 A. My responsibilities are to remodel the existing
25 restaurants, bring them up to present day standards.

27 Q. Does that include the technical equipment or what I might
28 call the furnishings, the floors and windows and so on?
29 A. It includes the furnishing, the floors and the wall
30 finishes.

32 Q. But not the technical equipment?
33 A. Not the technical equipment.

35 Q. Are you a member of the Society of Industrial Artists and
36 Designers?
37 A. I am.

39 Q. Did you qualify as a designer by taking a course in
40 industrial design at Hammersmith College of Arts and
41 Building?
42 A. I did.

44 Q. Did that last, I think, for about four years?
45 A. That is correct.

47 Q. Then did you do a further course in interior design at the
48 South Bank Polytechnic, now I suppose South Bank
49 University?
50 A. Yes.

53 A. Two and a half years, approximately.

55 Q. When you had finished your professional qualifications or
56 your academic qualifications, did you go straight into
57 McDonald's?
58 A. No, I did not.
