MR. JUSTICE BELL: -- "that you will suffer cancer of the
breast or bowel or heart disease as a result".

MS. STEEL: The other thing is -- I do not know whether it makes
any difference or not -- at one time you said "animal
products", and the other time you said "animal fat". I do
not know which one you were intending.....

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It is "animal products" because my
recollection is that it is -----

MR. MORRIS: That is what it says in the fact sheet.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It was meant to follow the words of the
leaflet and it is "animal products". The only difference
between when I said it originally and then a moment or two
ago (and it is insignificant), I think it should go on "...
that although McDonald's know or ought to know this, they
do not make it clear and they falsely claim that their food
is a useful and nutritious part of any diet". Before
I think I said, "although McDonald's knew or ought to have
known this", but that is an insignificant difference.

What I suggest is that we carry on with your applications
and tell me in due course when you would like that matter
to be argued, if, indeed, you have anything to add to the
really quite full argument which you made as to the meaning
at the time of the application for leave to amend.

MR. MORRIS: Regarding the other matters, I was expecting the
nutrition one to take a substantial part of the day today,
so I am not fully prepared on all the matters.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Deal with what you are prepared on and then
we will see where we are.

MR. MORRIS: Certainly on the amendments, proposed amendments,
I am ready to deal with the Store Hygiene and the
Employment Conditions section which is the first and last
sections, in fact, and also the Exports of Brazilian Beef.
I might have to find that somewhere. That is a simple
matter.

The first thing I would like to say is there is no point in
going through the Store Hygiene and Employment Conditions
if the Plaintiffs accept those amendments. They do not
obviously necessarily have to agree with them, but they
accept our right to put them.

MR. RAMPTON: No.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are there any that you do not oppose,
Mr. Rampton?

MR. RAMPTON: No, I do not believe that there are; I oppose the
whole lot on general and specific grounds.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are you going to take -----
